Ha Giang withdraws business licences
Authorities in northern Ha Giang Province withdrew business licences at 23 gold mines after serious violations of the Mineral Law were found.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai requested that work stop at the mines in the province's Bac Quang, Vi Xuyen, Quang Binh, Bac Me and Meo Vac districts.
Hai asked the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to work with the provincial People's Committee to investigate and resolve the matter of illegal gold exploitation.
