Vietnamese economy praised by foreign news site

ETF Trends, an integrated news site for investors, has said that both Vietnam’s economy and ETF Vietnam are likely to develop very well this year.

ETF Vietnam, (Van Eck Market Vectors Vietnam or VNM), was established to invest in shares of companies with over 50 percent of their revenues coming from Vietnam. In August 2009, VNM began its transactions on the New York Stock Exchange.

ETF’s website quoted economist Joshua Ritchie as saying Vietnam has a young and ambitious population, and a beautiful landscape which is favourable for the local tourism industry. Tax incentives offered by the state have attracted more foreign investment, Ritchie said.

The site affirmed that Vietnam has made many changes to assist foreign investors in the country.
