PNJ: Business result in the first 6 months 2010
Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company has informed of business result in the first 6 months 2010 as follows:
In the first 6 months 2010, the world and Vietnam economy had gradually recovered. Although gold price had big fluctuation over the past 6 months, business result of the company still grew well: Sales was VND5,831 billion; un-integrated pre-tax profit was expected to be VND158.2 billion, reaching 64.48% of the year plan and increasing 17% compared to the same period 2009; after-tax profit was VND124.984 billion, increasing 19.02% compared to the same period 2009 and reaching 62.49% of the year plan.
In order to strengthen and widen business activities of the company, at the end of June, the company issued 20 million bonus shares to existing shareholders with ratio 2:1 to raise chartered capital from VND400 billion to VND600 billion.
In the current time, the company has continued to expand its store chain and jewelry centers throughout the country. In the first 6 months, the company had opened additional 15 stores, increasing its total stores as 119. It has been still the leading jewelry company in the country.
Besides, the company has proactively taken care of employees through organizing holiday trips or family festivals…. Its social responsibility has also been done well with sponsoring humanity programs in the country.
In the past 6 months, the company has received prestigious prizes such as the golden prize of National Quality, National Brand 2010, the No.1 Brand of Vietnam…. Especially, on 18th November 2010, the company will be awarded the Asia-Pacific Quality Prize at Nepal.
In the next 6 months 2010, the company continues to expand and invest to upgrade its store chain throughout the country. It also implements many customer care programs.
