Transport construction firm lists with $19m
HCM Stock Exchange received on the Transport Engineering and Business Investment 584 Company (NTB) as the 255th company on the board.
The newly listed firm has a charter capital of VND360 billion (US$19 million) equal to 36 million shares.
Company activities include construction of transport and other civil projects, investment in health care and education projects and developing residential areas.
NTB has been involving in major transport projects such as the Trung Luong-My Thuan and HCM City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay express ways.
The HCM City-based company is developing several apartment buidings in districts of Binh Chanh and Binh Thanh, Go Vap and residential projects (Comprising apartments and houses) in Tan Phu and Go Vap, and a hotel, office and commercial complex on the corner of Chu Manh Trinh and Nguyen Du Streets, District 1.
Last year, NTB earned a net profit of 76 billion ($4 million) and paid 20 per cent dividends.
It targets this year a net profit of VND154 billion ($8.1 million) and dividends of 25 per cent. In the first quarter, the company already netted VND50 billion profits.
NTB closed its first trading day at VND37,000 over the reference price of VND42,000.
