HCM City’s import-export turnover hits US$10 billion

Total import-export turnover reached nearly US$10 billion in the first 2 months this year, according to the Ho Chi Minh City’s Customs Department.

The city exported mainly rubber, rice and coffee with a value of US$3.6 billion and imported primarily cloth, electronics and food with a turnover cost US$6.3 billion.

HCM City’s customs units collected import-export taxes of over VND5.6 trillion, up by 12 percent compared to the plan for 2010.
