Outstanding securities firms honoured

The Vietnam Securities Business Association on October 7 announced its list of 156 businesses that will be awarded the “Prestigious securities trade name 2009” prize.

The list includes 100 listed and 30 unlisted businesses, and 26 businesses, which are go-betweens and services providers.

The organisers said the winners are chosen from 500 businesses across the country through a vote based on scientific, accurate and logical criteria.

The criteria are based on the results of business and production and last year’s financial data or the most-recently available data. These include the level of clients’ trust in the business and the stability and growth in value of their securities.

A ceremony to honour the prize’s winners is slated for Hanoi on October 11 and it will be televised on Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel.
