Giving priority to coastal economic zones

The Prime Minister has issued a decision to be carried out from January 1, 2010 to give priority to developing the infrastructure of coastal economic zones.

Funding will be allocated to projects under the zoning plan for development of coastal economic zones until 2020, after they have established a management board at the PM’s discretion.

The investment capital will support projects to build main access traffic systems, compensate those relocated due to land clearance for construction of technical and social infrastructure and solid waste processing facilities.

The capital will be drawn from the annually allocated state budget, government bonds and official development assistance (ODA).
