Tra fish exports increase sharply
The tra fish exports this year are estimated to reach US$1.5 billion, according to the Vietnam Aquaculture Association.
By the end of September, the volume of tra fish exported will be 450,000 tonnes, earning more than US$900 million.
Since September, the world demand for tra fish has increased sharply. It is forecast that in the fourth quarter of this year, exports will increased by 20 percent compared to the third quarter because demand in Eastern Europe rose by 20-30 percent. Russia alone will import around 40,000 tonnes of tra fish, double the figure it imported in the third quarter.
