Cooking gas costs more
Cooking gas suppliers are raising their retail price per cylinder by VND18,000 to match an increase in the wholesale price.
Starting Tuesday, they will charge VND226,000 for a 12-kilogram cylinder of LPG.
Petrolimex Gas, Vietnam's main fuel distributor, has already announced a VND18,000-VND19,000 increase in its gas price, depending on the area, to come into effect within a few days.
The price hike was prompted by the higher import price of gas this month, up by $75 per ton on the $565 in August, according to gas traders.
