Aquatic products likely to increase in price
Major aquatic products such as catfish and shrimp likely to go up in price from now until the end of this year will create favourable conditions for a recovery in aquaculture exports, according to the Information Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development.
Following the latest statistics from 9 provinces in the Mekong Delta, total catfish production in the past 8 months reached nearly 460,000 tonnes, up 13.5 percent per month on average.
Vietnam’s aquaculture exports have shown signs of stabilising due to increased demand in major markets such as the EU and the US.
