Kirin Acecook Vietnam soft drinks company Ltd. on July 16 put into operation a soft drink factory in My Phuoc II industrial zone in Ben Cat district of the southern province of Binh Duong.

The US$60 million factory, covering an area of more than 2.7 hectares, has a capacity of 4 million barrels of product per year and is the first one in Vietnam to use Japan’s aseptic filling technology and modern production equipment.

The company’s General Director, Munechika Yokomizo, said the factory, licenced for investment in April last year, is a joint venture between Japan ’s Kirin beverage firm, Acecook food group and the Vietnam Acecook joint stock company.

It has created jobs for about 200 local people.
