Businesses lack information on export markets

One of the challenges faced by Vietnamese businesses is a lack of information about, and access to export markets, says Trinh Minh Anh, Deputy Chief of the Office of the National Committee for International Economic Cooperation.

Mr Anh made the assessment at a forum held in Hanoi on July 16 to discuss export issues and the growth of Vietnamese markets.

Mr Anh said that businesses should learn the regulations of the WTO (World Trade Organisation), and the trade policies of different markets. He particularly urged businesses to learn more about customer taste so they can respond quickly to changes in the market.

The deputy chief added that it is important to carry out planned work related to international economic integration.

The event was chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, attracting the participation of 32 associations and industries.
