Local Robusta coffee price hits six-month record high
The purchasing price for Robusta coffee in the Central Highlands has sharply increased to hit a record high since Feb. 2009.
One tonne of Robusta coffee was traded at VND26.1 million (up VND900,000) in Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces and at VND26 million (up VND800,000) in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces.
The domestic price increase has resulted from the coffee price hike on the London market.
Robusta for September delivery climbed from US$1,456 to US$1,513 per tonne on the London International Financial Futures and Option Exchange (LIFFE).
