Dung Quat oil refinery delivers first batch of gasoline

The Dung Quat oil refinery on July 11 delivered its first batch of 5,500 cu.m of Mogas A92 gasoline to the PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PV Oil).

The volume will be shipped to the port city of Hai Phong for sale in the northern market.

The oil refinery is expected to turn out an additional 4,300 cu.m of Mogas A92 gasoline, 4,000 cu.m of kerosene and 7,200 tonnes of liquefied petro gas (LPG) for the domestic market from now until July 15.

To date, the refinery has produced a total of 4,150 tonnes of liquefied gas, 18,000 cu.m of diesel, 5,500 cu.m of kerosene and 5,500 cu.m of A92 gasoline.

The plant is scheduled to operate at full capacity next month and be officially handed over to the project’s investor in October. Its products will meet 30 percent of domestic petroleum demand.
