Two largest packaging plants in Southeast Asia inaugurated

Song Lam SABECO packaging joint stock company inaugurated the two largest packaging plants in Southeast Asia in Vinh City in the Central province of Nghe An on June 21st.

When the two plants are put into operation they will generate jobs for 200 workers and bring around VND700 billion in revenue. They will also help the Saigon Beer - Wine & Beverage Corporation (SABECO) to reduce production cost and prices, increase revenue, improve the quality of products and meet the customers’ demands in Nghe An province as well as other neighbouring provinces.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, State President Nguyen Minh Triet praised SABECO’s achievements in recent years and considered the inauguration of the two plants as an important foundation for Nghe An province to accelerate the industrialization and modernization process.

At the ceremony, SABECO member companies presented VND330 million to the fund for Agent Orange victims in Nghe An province.
