Siemens wins $375 million power plant contract
German industrial giant Siemens Wednesday signed a US$375 million deal to supply key equipment to a thermal power plant in the southern province of Dong Nai.
Under the deal inked with Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (Lilama), Siemens will provide turbines, generators, heat recovery steam generators and the central electricity transformer.
The 750-megawatt Nhon Trach No.2 thermal power plant in Nhon Trach District of Dong Nai Province is planned to produce 4.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity a year.
Construction is due to finish within 30 months.
