Investors favoring stocks over bonds
With the surging stock market, institutional investors are switching their investments to equities, which have higher yields. Stocks are more attractive than bonds now.
Commercial banks are also planning to increase their credit growth this year so they are also not as interested in government debt as they were before. Demand for the notes has dropped compared with a couple of months ago.
