ANZ Bank allowed to continue providing derivative products
The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued Document No. 4308/NHNN-CSTT on June 10 to allow the ANZ Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. to continue providing derivative instruments in line with SBV’s regulations set in Document No. 1143/NHNN-CSTT dated February 23, 2006 on mobilizing structured deposits and Document No. 3077/NHNN-CSTT dated April 28, 2009 on issuing certificates of deposit (CDs) with the interest rate sticking to gold price.
The ANZ Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. will make its own decisions and be responsible for providing the derivative products in compliance with the applicable regulations and laws on mobilizing deposits, issuing valuable papers, forex management, interest rates, risk provisioning, capital adequacy ratio, and other relevant laws and regulations.
