44 int’l airlines to provide services in Vietnam this summer
The Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration has approved the 2009 summer schedule for the 44 international airlines that operate routes to and from Vietnam.
Most of them arrive at and depart from Vietnam’s two main international airports, Noi Bai in Hanoi and Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh city, including 33 for passenger and 11 for cargo services.
For domestic carriers, the Vietnam Airlines Corporation will operate 36 international routes to 14 countries across the globe, while the low-cost Jetstar Pacific will run eight domestic routes and raise the frequency of flights on the Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi route.
