Vietnam furthers cooperation with French businesses
Vietnamese Ambassador to France Le Kinh Tai has recently visited Bretagne to promote investment cooperation between Vietnam and the French northwestern region.
In Quimper city, the ambassador worked with tens of businesses operating in garment, fishing, shipbuilding, oil and gas, food processing and animal husbandry.
Regional entrepreneurs expressed their wish to increase exchanges between the two countries’ businesses in the coming time.
On this occasion, Ambassador Tai signed a memorandum of understand (MoU) with Armorlux Group, which holds 20 percent of France ’s garment market. Under the MoU, this year Armorlux will send delegations to Vietnam to negotiate on several business contracts.
The ambassador also met with leaders of Quimper and Finistere cities.
In Rennes city, Tai had a working session with the Glon Food Processing Group, which commands one-third of fowl egg market share, produces one-fourth of cattle meat output in France and posts annual revenues of 1.4 billion euros.
The group’s CEO, Alain Glon, said his group plans to implement several projects in Vietnam . He also pledged to help Vietnamese localities in raising pigs under the Bretagne method.
Previously, a business delegation, led by the Bretagne Council Chairman, visited Vietnam to study cooperation and investment environment.
The Bretagne region is famous for animal husbandry, especially pig breeding, fishing, food processing and agricultural products.
