Japanese businesses still on a roll in Vietnam
The Vietnamese embassy in Japan and the Japanese economic research institute held a seminar in Tokyo last weekend, focusing on investment opportunities in Vietnam.
Present at the seminar was the Vietnamese ambassador to Japan, Nguyen Minh Ha, and over 200 representatives from 80 Japanese companies, including those from Mirrai Consulting Company.
Participants discussed Vietnam’s Labour Code to try and work out a suitable policy for local workers in industrial zones in Vietnam, as well as tariffs in both countries.
While many Japanese small and medium-sized businesses are on the verge of bankruptcy, over 1,000 Japanese businesses in Vietnam are maintaining efficient production. Different kinds of goods produced in Vietnam continue to be exported to Japan as they are much appreciated there.
