Vietnamese travel website launches innovative new services
Vietnam’s travel information network, which can be found online at www.skydoor.net, has announced that it is to launch three new, interactive services on March 16, following a month of trial operations.
The new services consist of an up-to-date travel news website, which is available at http://travelnews.skydoor.net, a travel blog, at http://travelblog.skydoor.net and a user-generated video archive, featuring Vietnam’s most popular tourist sites, at http://video.skydoor.net.
The latest travel news, gleaned from Vietnam’s 100 most popular websites and periodicals, is automatically updated regularly on travelnews.skydoor.net.
By logging on to travelblog.skydoor.net, users are able to read travel articles written by well-known bloggers, which give a slightly leftfield view of mainstream travel in Vietnam.
Tourists will also be able to discover all about their travel destinations in glorious technicolour by clicking on travelvideo.skydoor.net, which is filled with video content and can save the user hours of searching on the internet for the information they need.
Skydoor.net is Vietnam’s first open, highly interactive travel portal that allows users, tourists or entertainment agencies to create their own, personalised tourism maps, acting as an invaluable information source to others.
The website is one of Vietnam’s three most popular tourism information websites, according to Alexa, which ranks internet pages according to the number of hits that they receive.
Skydoor.net, created by Bui Duc Minh, Pham Huu Ngon and Hoang Thuy in 2007, won first prize at last year’s Vietnamese Talent contest/.
