LBM: Business result in Q4/08

Lam Dong Mineral and Building Material Joint Stock Company has explained business result in Q4/08 as follows:

In 2008, the company issued shares to raise chartered capital in order to expand investment to projects worth VND40 billion. Due to the projects in 2007 put into operation, they was run effectively in Q1/08 such as the projects of expanding Thanh My brick factory, Hiep Tien kao-lin factory, Nthoha mine, exporting porcelain products…

Planned profit for 2008 was VND11.566 billion, dividend payment was 12%. Actual profit before tax for 2008 was VND14,894,876,000.

In Q4/08, actual profit of the company was VND1,480,571,735. However, the company had to deduct for the provision of bad debt costing VND2,789,251,966. Thus, profit was only VND(-1,308,680,000).
