Hochiminh City Metal Corporation (HMC) has informed of business result in Q4/2008 as follows:

* Profit before tax in Q3/08: VND21,929,587,096

* Profit before tax in Q4/08: VND(25,184,561,785)

Profit in Q4/08 decreased 214.8% in comparison with that in Q3/08 due to the following reasons:

* The company deducted for the provision of inventory devaluation at the time of 31/12/2008: VND86,242,509,596.

* Profit Q4/08 before deducting for the provision: VND61,057,947,811
