BPC: Business result in Q4/08

BimSon Packing Company (BMPLASCO) has informed of business result in Q4/08 as follows:

Profit before tax in Q4/08: VND1,806 million, decreasing VND2,525 million compared to that in Q3/08.

Reasons:

Oil price rapidly declined due to the global financial crisis. This forced the company to reduce selling prices of its products. However, production materials had been bought at the high price. Thus, decrease of profit in Q4/08 was inevitable.
