Fair to boost business ties with Italy

Vietnamese businesses will have opportunities to share experiences and cooperate with Italian leading companies at the up-coming fair “Marching Show” to be held in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the organising board, the event, which will take place from Jan. 11-14, will see the participation of 30 Italian companies involving in consumer goods, machinery and industrial facilities.

Since Vietnam and Italian established diplomatic ties in 1973, the latter has so far invested in 31 projects in Vietnam with a combined capital of over 130 million USD, ranking 33 rd among 81 foreign investors in the country.

In term of trade, in the January-November 2008, two-way trade turnover between the two countries hit over 1.46 billion USD growing at an average 20-30 percent a year.
