Work commences on Times Square Hanoi complex

Investment management group VinaCapital held a ground-breaking ceremony for an office and retail complex, named the Times Square Hanoi, at the My Dinh commune in Hanoi on December 18.

The 50 million USD project will provide Hanoi with 20,000 sq.m of top-quality office space, a 300-room five-star hotel and a luxury retail centre.

Of the total investment, VinaCapital financed 65 percent, with the rest being contributed by local partners.

Once completed, Times Square Hanoi, bordering the Big C shopping centre, the National Conference Centre and the My Dinh National Stadium, will contribute to transforming the My Dinh area into one of Vietnam ’s leading urban areas, said VinaCapital’s general director Don Lam.

The project is scheduled to be completed by 2011.
