Vietnam Craft Village Exhibition Fair opens
The Vietnam Craft Village Exhibition Fair (CraftViet 2008) showcasing traditional products, safe vegetables and high-quality agricultural products opened on December 18 at the Vietnam Agriculture Promotion and Exhibition Centre at No. 2 Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Hanoi.
The exhibition has over 300 booths displaying fine arts, silver and gold jewellery, pottery, crystal, glassware, vegetables, fresh fruit, flowers and equipment for interior decoration from different companies and traditional craft villages.
The fair is an opportunity for businesses to promote economic exchange activities, increase trade promotion, advertise their own brands, transfer high-technology and tighten links between scientists, entrepreneurs, farmers and consumers.
During the event, a forum on the potential and the real situation of Vietnam’s craft villages was held, alongside a congress of the Vietnam Craft Village Association and an awards ceremony for outstanding enterprises in 2008.
The fair, co-organised by the National Agricultural Promotion Centre, the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre and the Agricultural Encouragement Centre, will last until December 23.
