Rubber prices increase again

The price of rubber exports to China through the Mong Cai border-gate has gone up again after a big fall for many consecutive months, according to the management board of this border-gate in northern Quang Ninh province.

The price of rubber has increased by 500 Chinese Yuan per tonne to 7,800 Yuan per tonne, prompting some 20 businesses to restart cross-border trade.

The amount of rubber exported to China has reached 400 tonnes per day, while previously, it stood at only 100-200 tonnes.

Rubber prices picked up after several automobile tyre manufacturing factories in China resumed operations.

The volume of rubber exported to China through the Mong Cai border gate is predicted to reach 600 tonnes per day and the price of rubber will increase to 8,000-8,200 Yuan per tonne.
