FPT: The record date for issuing bonus shares
HOSE announces the record date for issuing bonus and doing a ballot as follows:
* Name of the listed firm: The Corporation for Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT CORP)
* Stock symbol: FPT
* Stock type: Common stock
* Par value: VND10,000
* Ex-right date: November 7th 2008
* Record date: November 11th 2008
1. Issuing bonus shares to existing shareholders in order to increase capital:
- Exercise ratio: 50% of chartered capital at the issuing time, equivant to 2:1 (a shareholder who owns 2 shares on the record date will receive 1 new share. The number of new shares will be rounded in unit).
For example: a shareholder A who owns 101 shares on the record date will receive (101*1)/2 = 50.5 shares. After being rounded, he actually received 50 shares.
Expected issuing volume: 47,080,308 shares (including 50% of the volume of listed shares and 484,135 shares (50% * 968,270 shares) of the unlisted volume).
Right of receiving bonus shares is not transferable.
The number of addiotionally-issued shares is not limited to transfer.
- Expected trading day: December 15th 2008.
- Place of implementation:
+ Shareholders whose shares have been deposited: at the securities firms where shares have been deposited.
+ Shareholders whose shares have not been deposited: at FPT CORP - FPT Building, Cau Giay, Pham Hung Street, Hanoi or the Branch of FPT CORP – 3rd floor, Citilight Building, 45 Vo Thi Sau, Dakao Ward, Dist.1, HCMC.
2. Doing a ballot with the following issues:
a. Additional listing of bonus shares to existing shareholders to raise capital from the fund of capital gain with issuing volume as 50% of chartered capital at the issuing time.
b. Cancelling the plan of additional issuance to raise chartered capital with volume of not exceeding 10% of chartered capital at the issuing time under the resolution of the shareholders’ meeting dated November 20th 2007.
Implementation time: from 21/11/2008 to 05/12/2008
Viet Nam Securities Depository – Hochiminh Branch will temporarily suspend the depository activities for FPT on November 10th, 11th & 12th 2008.
