VNA: Explannation for business result in Q3/2008

Vinaship Joint Stock Company has given explanantion to the fluctuation of business result in Q3/2008 against Q2/2008 as follows:

Profit after tax in Q3 reached VND20,792,272,856, increasing VND3,160,466,264 against Q2 (or 17.92 percent)

Reasons:

- The company received the VINASHIP GOLD ship with the total capacity of 13,245 tons built by Ha Long Shipbuilding Industry Company in late April 2008. The company operated the ship only two months in Q2/2008 in comparison with three months in Q3/2008.

- Shipping freight rose from 10% to 15% in Q3 against Q2.
