MCV: Explanation for business result in Q3/2008

Cavico Vietnam Mining and Construction Joint Stock Company has given explanation to the business result Q3/2000 against Q2/2008 as follows:

- Q3/2008 revenue: VND30,130,466,058

- Q2/2008 revenue: VND58,213,013,497

- Q3/2008 profit:      VND1,291,386,780

- Q2/2008:                VND4,807,420,811

- Q3 Revenue decreased 48% compared to Q2 or VND28,082,547,439

- Q3 Profit decreased 73% compared to Q2 or VND3,599,261,241

- However, revenue in Q3 increased 43.5% year on year (equivalent to VND9,134,272,424)

- The decrease of revenue in Q3 was resulted from:

+ A large amount of work done has not been settled payment which was transferred to Q4/2008.

+ Mining and Construction activities almost have to suspend temporarily because of rainy reason in northern region of Vietnam.

At present, all projects are also operating as business plan.
