HNM: Disclosure of milk quality by Hanoimilk JSC
As a victim of the Melamine “storm” from China, for the public health, Hanoimilk JSC sent all ingredient and product samples for test to authorized centers of the Ministry of Health.
According to the analysis of the Vietnam Food Administration certified by the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Health on 09/11/2008, 11 diary ingredients and products which do not contain melamine are sugar sterilized IZZI, strawberry IZZI, IZZI with honeydew melon flavor, chocolate IZZI, YOTUTI with orange flavor, YOTUTI with strawberry flavor, Hanoimilk Fresh milk 100%, fresh diary ingredients, Skimmilk powder 1, Whole milk powder 2 and Skimmilk powder3. These are Hanoimilk’s traditional products which are made from domestic fresh diary and milk powder imported from Australia, the U.S.A and New Zealand and they have become popular since the early years of the company.
According to the mass media, Hanoimilk has 7 melamine-contained diary samples. Hanoimilk explained as follows:
- In terms of milk powder, there are 2 out of 3 samples imported from China that contain melamine. Hanoimilk do not use these ingredients for production and they were imported for the goal of trade.
- In terms of products, yoghurt with sugar and Chocolate HI-P were certified to contain melamine with low ratio. These two products have been taken back for further action.
With the corporate responsibility, Hanoimilk apologizes to all consumers commits to apply best measures to protect the public health. Hanoimilk hopes to receive sympathy and support from customers, shareholders and partners.
