Contract signed for HCMC’s tallest building
A contract was signed Thursday to build Ho Chi Minh City’s tallest building to be completed by 2010, the investor Bitexco said.
The 68-storey building planned for 1 Ho Tung Mau Street, HCMC’s District 1, will be in the shape of a lotus bulb.
Bitexco, which is a multi-sector corporation signed for the main package of US$93 million with construction contractor, Republic of Korea’s Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co.
The 262.5 meter-tall building with a total investment of $220 million will be the second tallest building in Vietnam, after the 336 meter, 70-story Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower.
