Hanoi hosts Con-Build Vietnam 2008
The second International Trade Fair for Construction and Building, Machinery, Equipment, Materials, Vehicles, Technology and Services (Con-Build Vietnam 2008) opened at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi on September 9.
The exhibition organised by the Munich International Trade Fairs Pte Ltd (MMI) attracted 140 world’s leading construction companies from China, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and the US.
MMI managing director Ronald Unterburger said that the exhibition aims to expand the construction market in Vietnam, and develop infrastructure and regional and international strategic co-operative relations. It also serves as a forum for leading experts of the key industries, producers and distributors to share experiences and establish a trade strategic partnership through seminars.
After the success of the first fair in 2007, Con-Build Vietnam 2008 provides a good opportunity for construction companies to seek new partners as well as the latest information about the prospect of Vietnam’s construction market.
During the exhibition, there will be an international seminar on infrastructure development in Vietnam.
The MMI has committed to support Vietnam’s infrastructure development programme by introducing it to foreign investors and to help domestic companies strengthen strategic relations with foreign partners.
Demand for infrastructure development, especially in big cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City is increasing. In the first quarter of this year, the Vietnamese construction materials sector grew by 17 percent
Con-Build Vietnam 2008 will last until September 12.
