VN-Index sees tenth gain running with impressive liquidity
The VN-Index had a slight gain for the tenth session running today, however, liquidity hit a record high ever in its history of eight years of development.
In the first phase of today's session, the index continued to experience a sharp increase. Ending the first phase, VN-Index reported a 12.46 point gain with over 7.2 million shares matched.
However, sharp increase of offers in the later phases pulled the index back. The market's benchmark closed today at 511.53, up 0.68% or 3.48 points.
A total of 33.6 million shares and fund certificates were traded via order matching method today for over VND 1.3 trillion, the highest trading volume ever.
Of the total 160 listed stocks, 63 reported gains while 82 loss and 15 others stayed unchanged.
STB was the most traded stock with nearly 6.3 million shares matched, followed by DPM and HPG with over 2.8 million and 2.3 million shares matched respectively.
The northern bourse also saw its eight increase in a row today with HASTC-Index up 1% or 1.58 points to close at 169.51.
Nearly 17 million shares were matched for VND 703 billion. There were 70 gainers against 73 losers, two others stayed still and one had no trade.
