Consultancy contract on Thai Binh 2 power plant signed

A 12.5 billion VND consultancy contract for a project to build the Thai Binh coal-fueled power plant 2 in the Red river delta province of Thai Binh was signed on August 12.

The 1,200 MW power plant invested by PetroVietnam Power Company is estimated to cost 21.7 trillion VND (1.2 billion USD).

The plant, scheduled to be put into operation in 2013-2014, will supply power to the province and its neighbouring provinces of Nam Dinh and Hung Yen.
