Vietnam Airlines to add fuel surchage on domestic air fare

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines said it will add fuel surcharges of 50,000-180,000 VND on domestic one-way tickets as of August 15 due to high fuel prices.

The airline said, however, that the additional charge will be revised downward in case fuel prices drop on the world market.

Under a decision made on August 12, a one-way ticket from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City , Nha Trang, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot and Can Tho; and from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong, Vinh and Dong Hoi will be surcharged with 180,000 VND.

The surcharge of 110,000 VND will be applied to a one-way ticket from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang , Hue , Pleiku and Chu Lai and from Hanoi to Da Nang and Hue .

For a one-way ticket on the Ho Chi Minh City-Buon Ma Thuot, Hanoi-Na San, Phu Quoc-Rach Gia, Ho Chi Minh City-Can Tho, Da Nang-Dong Hoi services, the additional charge is 50,000 VND.

The surcharge is 90,000 VND for a one-way ticket on the remaining routes.
