Some 550 business leaders and senior executives from local and foreign companies discussed industry best practices in the country’s most comprehensive and premier technology forum held on in Ho Chi Minh City August 6 .
The international event, with the theme Business Beyond Boundaries, was hosted by SAP, the world’s leading provider of business software for the second time in Vietnam .
It aims to explore new ways of driving collaboration and innovation to help businesses succeed in a challenging global economy, and offers visitors a chance to stay close with the latest happenings in the business world.
Attendees were able to obtain hands-on experience through demonstration stations set up by SAP and its partners.
Businesses must better control costs, increase quality, enter the market more quickly and improve their ability to reach customers in a dynamic and competitive market, said Eric MacDonald, president of SAP Southeast Asia.
The effects of globalisation are requiring businesses to use IT so they can respond more effectively to shifting business challenges and opportunities, he said.
Eric said the event demonstrated SAP’s commitment to a long-term investment in Vietnam ’s market, especially the finance and insurance sector.
