Small and medium enterprises’ week to be held

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Ocean Group signed an agreement in Hanoi on July 30 to jointly organise this year’s National Week for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The SME Week, part of a scheme approved by the Prime Minister to develop SMEs from 2006-2010, will take place in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and a number of localities in mid-November.

This is the first time the event is held throughout the country and will be organised annually from this year.

The SME Week, called “Connection and Integration for Joint Development”, will include business forums, TV talk shows and training courses bringing together policy makers and representatives from ministries, agencies, SME assistance organisations and businesses to exchange views, share experiences and propose solutions for business development.

As part of the event, an exhibition will also take place in Hanoi to help SMEs to introduce products and services and seek partners.
