Malaysia to boost ties in industry
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai shared some experiences about industrial restructuring with Malaysia here yesterday.
Hai was receiving Muh-yiddin Mohd Yassin, Malaysian Minister for International Trade and Industry.
Hai was delighted at the development of Viet Nam-Malaysia friendly and co-operative ties since the two countries established diplomatic ties 35years ago.
He said , saying that two-way trade had increased 10 times in the past 10 years.
Malaysia has become a top ASEAN investor in Viet Nam as the two countries have great potential for co-operation in areas such as oil and gas, manufacturing and energy.
The host believed that based on the two countries’ fine traditional relations, co-operation between businesses of both sides would be further promoted and intensified.
Minister Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin said that Viet Nam’s recent socio-economic achievements were really impressive, stressing those in agriculture, industry and international economic integration.
He said that Malaysia was focusing on improving the human resources quality, vocational training establishments and universities in order to provide skilled workers for industrial development.
Malaysia plans to shift to high-tech industries in the coming years, the Malaysian minister said.
He hoped that the two countries’ co-operation in trade, industry and other areas would be further promoted.
