Hanoi requests foreign-invested businesses to publicize pay scales
Hanoi authorities have asked foreign-invested enterprises in industrial and export processing zones to publicize their pay scales before August 30 in a bid to ensure labourers’ legitimate rights and interests.
They said the move is aimed at building a healthy employee-employer relationship, stabilizing and improving the investment climate and reducing the number of spontaneous labour strikes.
The Hanoi administration also asked foreign-invested enterprises to strictly comply with regulations in the Labour Code, particularly those relating to job security, salary, social insurance, working conditions and collective labour agreements.
Those businesses are required to facilitate the establishment and expansion of trade unions in line with article 153 of the revised Labour Code, and hold frequent dialogues with trade union representatives to settle labourers’ petitions and concerns in accordance with the law.
