Saigontourist renews insurance deal with AIG
Saigontourist Travel Service said it has re-upped its tourist insurance contract with international giant American Insurance Group (AIG) to offer insurance services for its travelers abroad.
Saigontourist Travel Service is an affiliate of the country’s leading Saigontourist Holding Company,
The two partners inked their previous deal in April 2007, which was set to conclude at the end of March.
According to the renewed one-year deal which begins on April 1, the insurer will pay compensation to travelers on the operator’s package tours who suffer incidents such as terror attacks, natural calamities and epidemics while abroad.
The maximum compensation is worth US$10,000 per client in each case.
Travelers will be able to enjoy international SOS services under the terms of the deal, which include healthcare, legal assistance and lost passport replacement.
