Vinashin reaches deals worth US$2 billion

Members of Vinashin on March 12 harvested 24 contracts worth US$2 billion on shipbuilding and maritime transport from both foreign and domestic clients.

The deals included a contract valued at more than US$11 million between the Container Vinashin Company TGC and the Waterfront company of the US to build 4,600 containers and another contract worth US$8.4 million with Neotech of Taiwan to build 2,000 containers.

Contracts signed between the Ocean Transport Company and domestic partners included one on transport of passengers for Hoa Sen liner and another worth US$43 million to build 1,370 TEU container freight for the Ha Long shipyard.
