Vietship 2008 opens in capital

The fourth International Exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology and Transportation, Vietship 2008 was opened at the National Conventions Centre in Hanoi on March 11.

More than 400 enterprieses, over a half of them come from countries with developed shipbuilding industries including Japan, the Republic of Korea, China , German, the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark, are showcasing their products, the latest machinery, equipment and technogy in more than 600 booths at this year’s biannual exhibition.

During the exhibition, which closes on March 14, there will be seminars on finance issues relating to the shipping and subsidiary industries.

Organisers expects that contracts worth hundreds of million of US dollars will be signed during the exhibition.
