Company targets 10,000 ha of rubber trees in Laos
The Dau Tieng Viet-Laos Rubber Joint Stock Company is set to plant 4,000 ha of rubber trees in 2008 in an effort to fulfill its goal of planting 10,000 ha in southern Champasak province of Laos .
Local authorities and people highly appreciated the company’s project achievements, considering it as a cooperation model between Laos ’ Champasak province and Viet Nam ’s Binh Duong province, which has contributed to reduce poverty in the project site.
The Dau Tieng Viet-Laos company was established in June 2007 by Dau Tieng Rubber Company, Binh Duong Import-Export Company and Hung Vuong Joint Stock Company. It had planted 2,300 ha of rubber trees by the end of last year.
