VN-Index hangs on to 1,100-point mark
The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) went up slightly to finish the Oct. 15 trading session at 1,105.21 points, an increase of 0.6 points.
The session saw 66 shares rally for gains, 13 shares remain unchanged and 42 shares decline with more than 12.1 million shares worth over 1.1 trillion VND traded.
Binh Dinh Mining (BMC) topped the list of movers by tacking 27,000 VND onto its listed price, followed by Hau Giang Pharmaceutical (DHG), with a 21,000 VND increase and Tay Ninh Cable Car Tour (TCT), with a 20,000 VND spike.
Slight declines were seen in the listed prices of blue-chip Financing and Promoting Technology (FPT), with a3,000 VND decrease and Viet Nam Dairy Products (VNM) which suffered a 1,000 VND reduction.
In Ha Noi, consecutive increases among shares of Song Da groups pushed the HaSTC-Index up 8.58 points to finish at 370.85 points.
The market saw 5.88 million shares worth 569.7 billion VND changing hands.
