VN-Index down, HaSTC-Index up

The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) recorded a fall by the end of the October 4 trading session after exceeding the 1,100 point mark on the previous day.

By closing, the VN-Index declined by 18.84 points to finish at 1,087.7 points. Over 16 million shares, worth nearly 1.6 trillion VND (99.5 million USD), changed hands during the course of the day.

Biggest losers included Hau Giang Pharmaceutical 00000(DHG), Kinh Do Corp. (KDC) and Song Da Urban & Indsutrial Zone Investment and Development Company (SJS).

Meanwhile, the HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi bourse continued its upward trend to close at 349.92 points. The market saw increases in both trading value and volume with over 5.9 million shares worth 729.6 billion VND (45.5 million USD) being traded on the day.
