Vinachem expands cooperation with Japanese partner

The Viet Nam National Chemical Corp. (Vinachem) and Japan’s Sojitz Corp. agreed to set up a strategic partnership on October 18.

According to Sojitz, officials from the both sides will meet on a regular basis to study joint business projects and investment in Vietnamese chemical companies. Their collaboration will be expanded in line with the country's rapid industrial growth.

Ties between Vinachem and its Japanese partner was established in 1995 when they formed a fertilizer production joint venture, Japan Vietnam Fertilizer Co.

Last year, the two sides co-produced aluminum hydroxide, a chemical used to make ceramics and cultured marble.
