PTSC successfully launches oil-rig

The Petroleum Technical Service Joint Stock Corporation (PTSC) announced on October 15 that it has successfully launched an oil-rig weighing around 800 tonnes.

The corporation said the Bunga Orkid B oil-rig, with construction began in September 2006, is expected to be handed over to the investor - the Talisman Malaysia Limited - in January 2008.

PTSC, a subsidiary of the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), had earlier won an internationally-competitive bid to carry out the oil-rig project, which included designing, purchasing, test running and launching.

The successful implementation of the project marks PTSC’s new improvement on the way to become a leading petroleum technical service provider in Viet Nam.-Enditem
